BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Stress free for you - 100% fun for the kids

(suitable for children aged 4 and older)

If you’re organising a birthday party why not take advantage of the ‘Deluxe stress free party package’ so you can worry less and enjoy your child’s party more. All you need to do is provide the party food and feed them, then leave the rest to Karl.

Regardless of the option you chose any worries about keeping the children entertained will be taken care of. They’ll be treated to a show they’ll never forget and thoroughly entertained with a unique magical puppet show full of audience participation so no-one feels left out.

The Deluxe STRESS FREE party package
All you do is feed them - Leave the rest to Karl

After securing the venue, organising the food & drinks, getting the birthday cake ready, sending out invites, filling the party bags, setting out tables and chairs, sticking up balloons and birthday banners, you’ll have done more than enough. Now it’s time to relax and let Karl take care of the rest.

Birthday parties generally last for 2 hours. During this time, all you have to do is provide the party food and feed them. The Party food usually takes an average of 30 minutes to get through. Either side of this time, Karl will provide the following:

The Animupps Magic & Puppet show
60 minutes of pure entertainment from Karl and all the puppets. That‘s 15 minutes more than most traditional magic shows. Plus its the very same Animupps show performed at Holiday parks, so you are guaranteed quality entertainment.

30 Minutes of Music and Party Games
Don’t worry about organising the party games or trying to be heard. Let the little ones burn off all their excess energy while you relax. Karl has a great sounding PA System which means no matter how much noise the children are making, they can still hear him. The games are fun, non elimination and suitable for all to participate in.

Balloon Mice for All
The party climaxes with one of the puppets joining in with the final party game and ultimately the giving out of Balloon mice to each and every child. Balloon mice are the most popular of all Karl’s balloon models. The children are shown a great way to play with them before they’re given out. Every child gets one. They’re so much fun, they’ll be playing with them for days!

The ONE HOUR party package

If you prefer to organise and host all the party games yourself, then this is for you. You get:

Balloon Mice for All
Sssh, don’t tell them as we keep this a surprise. We’ll hand you an innocent looking bag filled with the most requested of all Karl’s balloon models, Balloon Mice! You’re free to give them out at your discretion. There will be enough for all the children. They can play with them there or take them home. They’re so much fun, they’ll be playing with them for days!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much space do you need?
For the Animupps performing area, a minimum clear space of 3 metres width (10ft) by 2 metres length (8ft) is needed. Additional space is then required for the audience to sit and watch from.

What’s the best time for a party?
At weekends, the most popular times are either 11am - 1pm, or 3pm - 5pm, or 4pm - 6pm
If you’re having an after school party they usually start between 4.15pm and 4.30pm.

What venue’s do you recommend?
The best venues to hire for birthday parties are local village halls, church halls, or community centres. In addition to having the necessary space for all the children plus enough provisions such as tables, chairs, kitchen and toilet facilities, they usually have more than adequate parking for all guests.

Will you perform the show in my home?
Sorry, due to the set up size of the show and the large cumbersome boxes the puppets and props are transported in, it is not practical to set it up in your home.

Will you perform the show outside?
Sadly, due to the puppets & equipment not being waterproof or sun-proof, the show cannot be performed outside.

What about outside in a gazebo or marquee?
Past experiences have seen expensive puppets and equipment destroyed by unpleasant weather penetrating this kind of cover, even during the summer. The shows can only be performed indoors.

What kind of games do you play.
A selection of fun, non elimination games that have proved very successful over the years.

Do you give prizes for winning games, or play pass the parcel?
There are no party prizes, instead, each child receives a balloon mouse at the very end. This way all the children play the games in the fun spirit they are intended. When prizes were up for grabs, some children became upset at losing, others would start arguing over cheating, etc. Its the same reason Animupps doesn’t play pass the parcel.

How long do you need to set up?
There’s lots of equipment and props which take approximately 25 minutes to set up. Around 25 minutes is needed to pack everything away too.

What time will you arrive?
I aim to arrive 30 minutes before the start of each party. This gives me plenty of time to meet the birthday person and set everything up for their show.

How do I book you?
You will need to provide all the relevant information about the birthday person, the number of guests, the full address of the party venue, plus your contact details. This information is used to generate a booking form. It will be sent for your approval. Once you’re happy all the information is correct, sign and return it with the booking fee. You will be posted a booking confirmation letter.

What are your prices?
It depends on the event you are organising or the birthday party package you would like. The price also depends on the time of day that you need the entertainment. Please telephone or email for a quote, along with the relevant details of your event.
